So, after doing some research, according to the author of the books, 4 years old is teens and 7 years old is adults. Assuming that late-teens (18-19) is a thing, it would make sense for that to 6 years. So if 4 years is teens and 6 years is late-teens, then 5 years would be the equivalent of mid-teens (17-15). Which to me is fine to age by like 1-3 years but still teetering on the verge or red zone.

Ok, too be fair, from what I remember about the books, they age in like, dog years or something. Also I'm pretty sure this takes place in a dragon college or something so I assume they're adults.
