With the update, we simplified the comic classification system. We previously had a M, F, MM, FF, MF, MF+, I system, which we simplified to Male, Female, Mix, Intersex. We've gotten significant negative feedback on this new system. We hear you, and we're going to do something about it. While we're contemplating the best solution, we welcome any detailed feedback via our contribute > feedback page. We read all feedback messages, your opinion will not get lost in the void.

At long last, we've implemented the concept of saved pages. When reading a comic in "all pages" mode, hover a page (desktop) or tap it (mobile), and you'll see a bookmark icon in the top-right of the page. When reading in "gallery" mode, you'll find a button below the page. We've also added a new section to your profile page, where saved comics and pages are displayed. There's a shortcut icon to get to this section in the top-right of your navigation bar. Saved comics are public - anyone can see yours when viewing your profile. Saved pages are private - only you can see those. Naturally, you need to be logged in to use the save page and comic features.

Upload improvements! If you’ve tried to upload recently, you might’ve seen the “upload freeze” notice. We actually forgot to remove this, uploads have been enabled for a while 🤦. Go contribute! In other exciting news, you can now also suggest a comic directly via an e621 pool ID, by going to Contribute > Suggest comic. This should make life easier, for you and mods both. Finally, we’ve now added one of your most requested features: tag exclusion and tag blacklisting. Exclude tags from any search by adding them in the filters box when browsing and clicking them again to toggle from inclusion to exclusion. You can also add tag blacklists to your account via Account > Account Settings. You can always follow new significant updates via the home page > About Yiffer.xyz > Changelog.

Some months ago, we changed comic "bookmarks" to "subscriptions". The bookmark icon changed to the bell you see today. This feature was initially only available to Patreon subscribers, but as of today, it's released for everyone. Sign in, subscribe to WIP comics, and you'll get a notification when they're updated. Enjoy!

The first version of Yiffer.xyz had comments below comics, but those were removed for technical reasons when the site was re-written. Finally, they're back! Along with this, we've also implemented proper user profiles and pages with profile photos, bio, and a few other things. Find yours at Me > Profile. User pages are visible to anyone, reached for example by clicking the name of a comment's author. Please refrain from doing "first"-related comments/competitions, though. We don't want to have to start removing stuff to keep the comment section meaningful. Thank you!

While functional, this site is a little... simple, thematically. We're currently looking to commission an experienced artist to join us in designing a mascot, and to make a few art pieces that'll appear in various places on the site. We're (naturally) willing to pay well for this. If you're interested, send an email to contact@yiffer.xyz with links to socials/previous works. If you know any artists that would fit the bill, send them to this blog post! We'll only consider talented artists who will take this mission seriously. The process will involve designing a fitting character together - this is not just a simple commission with a ready ref sheet. If we think you fit the bill, we'll make it worth your time, though!

After three years of hard work, the new site is finally ready. Many things have stayed mostly the same, but there's also a lot of new fun stuff! The most exciting new feature is the Contribute section, which you can find in the top bar. This will allow any user to add content to the site! User contributions will still go through mod review, but should help speed up the flow of content on the site. You may have noticed that we reset comic ratings in this update. If you had ratings of 1-10 in the old system, you'll be able to easily convert all of these at once, to our new 1-3 star system + bookmarks way, once you log in and hit the browse page. We also cleared old mod applications in the update, and are actively looking for more at the moment. If interested, you can find the application form in the Contribute section. There might be a few bugs here and there initially - have a little patience and report anything that looks off!
